Welcome to a reading community designed specifically for The Nonprofit Hive...
Where passionate professionals gather to explore the books that deepen our understanding of social impact, leadership, and the human side of mission-driven work.
Just like The Nonprofit Hive connects you with peers who understand the unique challenges of nonprofit work, our book club focuses on the leadership and personal development principles that create sustainable success.
We explore books that show how small, consistent disciplines—from daily gratitude to trust-building habits—can transform both your effectiveness and your organization's impact.
Leadership That Lasts: Dive into proven principles for effective leadership, building trust, and creating sustainable impact—skills that translate directly to your nonprofit role and the communities you serve.
Simple Strategies, Powerful Results: We focus on books that break down complex leadership and personal development concepts into practical, implementable strategies you can use immediately in your organization.
Gratitude and Growth Mindset: Explore how small, consistent disciplines—like daily gratitude practices and trust-building habits—can transform both your personal effectiveness and organizational culture.
Safe Space Discussions: Build on the trusted community you've found in The Nonprofit Hive with book discussions that go beyond surface-level takeaways to explore how these timeless principles apply to the real challenges we face in mission-driven work.
We meet virtually once a month, on a consistent day and time chosen by the group, using the choices made during sign-up on the form below.
Based on submissions, the determination of the day/time will be made on November 21, 2025, and shared in the community soon after.
The first monthly meeting will take place in January 2026.
Conversations and book selection are happening now in the online community.
Book selections are chosen by members through a Google Form vote.
The initial choices for your vote were compiled through conversations and research in the sector.
Future selections for the members to vote on will be compiled through member suggestions, including offerings from the form below.
We will pick three books at a time, so you know what is coming up each quarter.
A selection of guiding questions will be provided at the start of each month to help you prepare for the monthly meetings, but the conversation will be driven by the participating members.
You can also join online forum conversations in the community about the books.
Please complete the form below to join the Hive Book Club
After you submit the form, you will be directed to information on how to join the online community, vote for our first three books, and more.
Of course, there is no cost or obligation to participate; the group is what you make of it.
